Greetings fellow TU members! I hope you had a wonderful summer, and caught lots of fish. It’s that time again to begin our monthly meetings; this month’s meeting will be Thursday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Uncle Charlie’s, 6001 Yellowstone Rd. The usual guest speaker will be replaced with a fly tying event. Members and those interested in becoming a member will have the opportunity to learn fly tying skills, showcase their talent or just watch some of the top local talent. Several raffle items will be available. Proceeds will be used for future conservation and educational projects in Laramie, Goshen and Platte counties.

President Chris Steps Aside
Due to a very heavy workload and a variety of family commitments, Chris Brown has stepped away from his presidential duties with the chapter. When time allows, Chris will make every effort to attend meetings and events. Don’t be a stranger, Chris! As VP, Dan Moede has assumed the role of Acting President until the April elections. Please be assured the board is working on securing speakers for future meetings. We are working with local entities, the Forest Service and state TU staff. If you have an idea, please let us know.

Curt Gowdy State Park Cleanup Postponed
The cleanup at Curt Gowdy SP this fall has been postponed to Spring 2024. With a short time period to work with, there was concern not enough volunteers would be available. With additional time, we should be able to garner enough volunteers.

More to come later.

Dan Moede, Acting President
